In 2002 the project of "Frontier Simulation Software for Industrial Science" started as an IT-program research project organized by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology.
This project is intended to develop world class software in the bio-nano technology, the energy and the environmental fields. This project is devoted to the five research topics of computational science; 1) Quantum chemical simulation for the next generation, 2) Quantum molecular interaction analysis, 3) Nano-scale device simulation, 4) Fluid dynamics simulation for the next generation, and 5) Structural analysis for the next generation. 6) Platform of Problem Solving Environment and 7) High Performance Computing Middleware are also developed for supporting the above simulation software on the new generation computer and network.
Some software applications have already been published on the internet since June 2003. Eighteen applications would be avairable on our internet site by December 2003. We would like you to use these applications and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any comments about them. This project will show innovation by developing approximately ten new applications per year and will be available on the internet. In addition, we will advance the commercialization of our software development, so we request your continus cooperation.
