Research content

Study simulation methodologies for evaluating the strength and deformation characteristics of inhomogeneous materials whose mechanisms are difficult to clarify by experiments alone. Target carbon-fiber-reinforced composite materials and aluminum-die-cast materials that help to lighten transport equipment, and skin that controls aging attributes like wrinkles and stretching. Additionally, given that inhomogeneity on the micron order governs breakdown and deformation in any these materials, research methods for creating so-called meso-scale simulation models and interpreting simulation results.
